Based around the notion that there is a great deal of silliness in our modern day surroundings, the work aims to bring a sense of escapism to the viewer. Building fictitious shadows with vibrant and unnatural colour, the subject sits somewhere between the real and the imagined.

The paintings accentuate this absurdity of the mundane by presenting everyday motifs in awkwardly lit, amusing contexts giving the viewer full control of the narrative, allowing them to truly live the ‘Still Life’.
